Friday, February 27th has been set aside for parent/teacher conferences. This is the third year that Dixon Schools has had Spring conferences. The goal of these conferences is for teachers to communicate interventions and strategies to help students to finish the year successfully. These conferences are being held in just one day and teachers will be focusing on students who may not be prepared to move on to the next grade level. Over the next 2 weeks teachers will be reaching out to specific parents and guardians to invite you and your child to a conference. As noted, these conferences have a specific purpose and are scheduled by an invite. However, if you have a specific academic or behavior concern that you would like to address, please contact your child’s teacher through email or Seesaw to request a conference.

Congrats to Jen Freeman, this week's Spirit Award winner! Jen is always smiling and never seems to have a bad day. She has a natural gift for building rapport with students and helping them feel comfortable and safe. She is also one of our funniest staff members and is quick to make or receive a joke. Thank you Ms. Freeman! We're lucky to have you at Madison!

Our Madison students created a BLIZZARD OF GREAT ATTENDANCE this January! Each class got to create a snowflake for every day their class was at or above 95% attendance!

Congratulations to Carissa Sotelo, our spirit award winner this week! Carissa is amazing with our students and finds a way to connect with each student no matter how difficult their behaviors or circumstances. She is tremendously patient, unfailingly kind, and can always be counted to be here day in and day out for her students and teachers. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our school!!!
