Madison Elementary and Reagan Middle School currently do not have power. We are working to get an estimated time to have power restored. There is a plan in place for students who eat breakfast at school. Those students should head directly to the cafeteria. We will keep everyone informed as we know more information.

The Illinois Principal's Association honors school staff around the state for going above and beyond in the efforts to support our students. We're proud to share the following DPS staff members that received recognition from the IPA for their contributions.

Last week kicked off the Battle of the Books at Madison School! The Championship rounds were held and livestreamed yesterday. There were even a handful of exciting down to the wire matches that went into overtime! But our champions have been decided! The 4th grade winners were Mrs. Webb's Book Bosses consisting of Makenna McCormack, Jessa Peterson, Sadie Pratt, Brynn Simonton, Penelope Williams, Serenity Daley and Everly Becker. The 5th grade winners were Mrs. Bushman's Extra Cheesy Cheetos consisting of Adalynn Walton, Carmen Krokson, Brayden Shroyer, Elliot Kahn, Ethan Martinez and Rosalie Moore. All students who participated did an amazing job and we are already looking forward to next year's competition! #GoPurple #BePurple
