Each Spring, students who are recommended for potential placement in the Accelerated program at Dixon Public Schools are given an additional test to gain more insight into their academic functioning and ability. The OLSAT (Otis-Lennon School Ability Test) is a computerized assessment that measures general ability and is used by several schools across the United States in placing students within advanced classes. Parents may request that their child take the test or they may be recommended by their teacher. All current Accelerated students will also be tested. If you are interested in your child taking the test or have any questions, please contact Mr. Sagel by phone at 815-934-9662 or by email at jsagel@dps170.org.
